In a previous post I mentioned that I had started to use Scamazon’s CloudFront to CDN items from my bucket. Turns out that I didn’t really feel that, so I went to another option, Tardigrade.io.
It’s a decentralised cloud provider, who also offer a “linkshare” hosting service.
It’s great, but the catch 22 is (for now) I need to use CloudFlare to proxy it otherwise SSL won’t work. As far as evils go, CloudFlare is still less of one than Scamazon, and hopefully the functionality of SSL certs will work out in the future with Tardigrade.io.
But it’s given me an idea, there is actually a self-hosted way to serve from Tardigrade which I’d like to try, and it also plays well with rclone. I could end up moving me buckets over to it eventually.
