Well isn’t this a wild change of affairs. I didn’t expect my over all project to come this way but here we are.

I accidentally turned oh.mg and this BBS in to an internet portal worthy of 1996, only took 27 years to make it happen but yey we did it.

What does this mean - well, the overall integration of the BBS into oh.mg has been a surprising success. I’ve tested everything and from email to the web front, it’s all good.

There is some manual work I need to do in terms of getting inbound emails working since it requires that my main mail server for oh.mg relays a mailbox over to the BBS. Yes we’re sharing a domain and yes this is what I always wanted to do on a personal side without having to pick the BBS vs Modern Email(tm).

If you want to use your new shiney oh.mg email address just ping me a message on the board and I’ll set it up. For new accounts this is automatic.

Nothing changes in terms of how email works on the board, only access via telnet, wcnav or the web - there is no SMTP / POP / IMAP. Mail is also heavily filtered outbound, I’ve triggered this a few times myself and it’s on my own personal email server hosted at home.
